The distilling and flavouring of Vodka is an age-old Swedish tradition dating back more than 400 years. Vodka has been sold under the Absolut name since 1879 but only since 1979 has Absolut been available outside Sweden. Today, thanks to its purity of flavour, Absolut is the world`s best selling premium Vodka. METHOD OF PRODUCTION
A pure grain vodka distilled in Ahus in southern Sweden. The alcoholic base was made from the finest locally grown wheat grain, continuous distillation produced a high strength, neutral spirit which was filtered through purifying charcoal. Natural flavouring was added using fruit extracts from Mandarin oranges. The spirit was diluted with pure water to 40% abv before bottling. FOOD RECOMMENDATION
Drink well chilled, over ice or as a superb long drink with tonic or lemonade. |
