The distilling and flavouring of Vodka is an age-old Swedish tradition dating back more than 400 years. Vodka has been sold under the Absolut name since 1879 but only since 1979 has Absolut been available outside Sweden. Today, thanks to its purity of flavour, Absolut is the world`s best selling premium Vodka. METHOD OF PRODUCTION
A pure grain vodka distilled in Ahus in southern Sweden. An alcoholic base was made from the best locally grown wheat grain, continuous distillation produced a high strength spirit. The spirit was filtered through charcoal leaving it pure. The vodka was kept in stainless-steel tanks so flavours remained neutral. Natural flavouring was added using fresh blackcurrant berries and the spirit was diluted with pure water to 40% alcohol. FOOD RECOMMENDATION
